The Faulty System
My cousin when he was sixteen years old he was punished by my aunt and was not allowed to go outside. My uncle who didn’t know that my aunt punished him just let him go outside. Bobby was heading to K-mart by riding his bike with his friends close to the curb. On his way to K-mart a drunk driver hit my cousin and he was in critical condition at the hospital for one day and then past away. The guy that hit my cousin had been pulled twice before for DUI’s and still didn’t get his license taken away from him. Even when he hit my cousin the guy still did not go to jail for any period of time at all.
The thing that makes me so mad about it is that yea they say that Bobby died in accident and in my opinion is that he was killed by that guy because even know that he had DUI’s before he still chose to go out drinking and still chose to drive. I don’t understand how someone can do that and for the law not even going to do anything about it.

Protection
My ideal job is to become a police officer. My whole life just like all kids I would go around saying and dreaming about what I wanted to be and all I wanted to be was a cop. The reason that I wanted to become a cop was the fact that it is a civil duty that protects the public from from crime from others. Another reason that I wanted to become a cop was the fact that my grandfather was a cop for over twenty years and I had someone to look up to and wanted to follow in his footsteps.

Educational Differences
My worse educational experience was when I was in the fourth grade where my teacher was pregnant and couldn't go through the entire year. The school instead of trying to hire someone that could replace her for the year decided to just keep finding substitutes for the class so throughout that year my class went through eleven different teachers. I think that the school should have been more responsible and take in consideration for the students best interest and hired someone on a permanent basis.
The best schooling experience that I can recall was the fact that my 8th grade teacher told me when I was struggling in a certain was that not to get upset or worry because there are many more things in life more tragic then a simple bad grade. The reason I take that to heart is because that very true because you sit there and get all worked up over a bad grade, which means that you are kind of putting a bad grade in the same category and say someone passing away. That is two very different categories. OK you get a bad grade so work harder on the next assignment and get a good grade on that.

Family:#1
This I Believe
In my time so far I have had my obligation to take care of my family to go on as my grandmother, my aunt with Down syndrome, and my mom who was recently diagnosed with cancer. My grandmother since I was in eighth grade had two heart attacks and then was told she had congestive heart failure. Since she found that out my mom and I sold our house and moved in to take care of her and my aunt. My senior year in high school was the time that she was getting worse; she was getting scared so she would ask me to stay up with her which then would be entire night so I would basically go to school with no sleep. The thing that really hit me the most was that it was her last week and she kept asking me what the date was and then finally on October 8 she passed away which was the anniversary of her mother’s death.
Now that my grandmother had passed all the focus went to my aunt with Down syndrome and Alzheimer’s. I would basically wake up feed my aunt, give her her medicine, go to school, and then come home until we went to bed. My aunt is basically the most loving person that you will ever meet but has been given to her a terrible disease. Then in the summer of ’07 my mom was diagnosed with cancer which needed surgery so we would pay money to have someone watch my aunt so I could visit her in the hospital for a little while and then I would come home and take care of my aunt. Now my days are to wake up, go to school, soccer, and go home to take care of them until they go to sleep.
Family is the most important thing in anyone’s life. The reason that I say that is because they took care of me when I was younger so now it’s my responsibility to take care of them with no excuses or complaints. I think without family life is dry and meaningless. This I Believe!

The World of Texting
I would call our generation the "Texting" generation. The reason that I would call us this generation because no matter what the young people of today weather its cell phones or computer we are texting to everyone and anyone. It seems like the more advanced things out we need in our lives. We can't just have the things that work we have to be ahead of everyone.

The life of Adidas
The semiotic analysis is for Adidas which plays a major part in my personal life because with the fact that I play sports and they are the sponsors for our team. Adidas is a major for not just people that play sports but for everyone in the world because they make anything that you possibly wear. Its is like a national icon. The reason that I pretty much only buy Adidas products is because I have never had a problem or defects with anything that I own. When I say its a national icon I mean it due to the fact that everyone knows what there business is about. The brand plays every part of my life because not only do I wear it on days that I play sports but everyday other than that. (135)

Media
My relationship with the media is a medial one in that I really only follower the stories that are big, interest me or stories that are happening in my area. I am neither a media addict or a luddite. I see myself as in the middle as someone that doesn't mind watching or reading the news but then again I would rather be doing other things. The things that influence my relationship about the media is that fact as a kid I never really paid attention to it due to the fact that I had other things to do like be outside or just hanging with friends. I think that I could improve on following the stories around me so that I know whats going in the world that I live in.
